When does the online sale of festival passes start?

The sale of passes starts on 24.07.2018.

Until when will the festival passes be sold?

The sale of passes lasts until September 14th September 2018 (end of the day), or until the last pass is sold.

From when will it be possible to buy festival passes at the cinema?

From 15th September, 2018, the passes will be available for sale at the ticket office located on the ground floor of the Gdynia Waterfront Centre, at 21 Waszyngtona St. (the facility where Multikino in Gdynia is located).

How much does the festival pass cost?

The normal pass costs 220 PLN.

The reduced price pass costs PLN 170.

What does the festival pass entitle you to?

The pass is programmed with 34 points (1 point equals 1 movie screening), so it entitles the owner to participate in 30 screenings (according to our calculations it is the largest number of films to watch: 6 days of the festival x 5 screenings per day), subject to booking for a specific screening. Additional 4 points are a reserve for you if you do not attend the screening and you do not cancel the booking (for which 4 points are deducted). Please, keep in mind that 4 points will be deducted from your account for each unused reservation. So if this happens a few times, you may not have enough points to see all the planned screenings. The pass entitles its owner to attend film screenings taking place at Multikino in Gdynia (21 Waszyngtona St.), Gdynia Film Centre and on the New Stage at the Musical Theatre in Gdynia. The pass does not authorize its owner to participate in the screenings taking place at the Festival Centre at the Musical Theatre in Gdynia (Main Stage).

Since when can you make a reservation for film screenings?

The reservation can be made from the day before the screening, from 08:30 in the morning, but no later than 15 minutes before the screening begins. Here is an example: for the screening, which takes place on 20th September, the seat can be booked as early as 19th September from 08:30 AM. The exception is the first day of the festival – 17th September. On this day, you can only book screenings for the same day, from 08:30. This is to eliminate a situation in which all screenings are fully booked on the first day. This will allow you to review the festival program and make an informed decision. Remember that if you have one pass, you can make a maximum of one seat reservation for a given film screening.

There is also no possibility of booking a seat for screenings at a similar time on the same day (e.g., if on 19th September one selected movie starts at 14:00 and the second at 14:15, it is not possible to book both screenings).

What to do if I want to go to a different movie (than I previously planned)?

In the event that the owner of the festival pass chooses to go to a different movie than previously planned, they should cancel the existing reservation and make a new one. This can be done no later than 15 minutes before the screening. If the booking is not cancelled and the person does not show up, 4 points will be deducted from their festival pass. That is why it is so important to cancel in advance any reservations that won’t be used.

Where can I cancel my reservation?

Reservations can be cancelled at any festival venue (Musical Theatre, Multikino, Gdynia Film Centre). There will be computer stations specially prepared for this purpose with access to the Internet. In addition, the booking application with the cancellation option works from any computer or other portable device that has Internet access.

Can the festival pass be shared with other people?

The pass cannot be shared with other people under any circumstances. It is personal, assigned to the person who bought it. The person’s name, surname and photo are on the pass.

How to attach a photo to the festival pass?

When placing the order for the pass (you must be registered on our website www.festiwalgdynia.pl first), after filling out the form, you will find the "attach a photo to the pass" button. To add a photo it must be saved on the hard drive first. It will be attached directly to the panel. The process of attaching a photo to the form is the same as in attaching a file in an email.

What are the requirements for the photo that is attached to the pass order?

It should be an up-to-date portrait photograph in a file not exceeding 2 Mb in size, with minimum dimensions of 400 pixels x 400 pixels, in png, gif or jpg format. The picture will be used to identify the owner of the pass. Lack of a photograph or a photograph that makes it impossible to identify the owner will invalidate the order.

Where and when can the pass be collected?

The pass can be collected from 15th September, 2018 (from 12.00 a.m.) at the ticket office located on the ground floor of the Waterfront Centre in Gdynia (Waszyngtona 21 Street) – the facility where Multikino is located in Gdynia; the pass is issued upon presentation of an ID or other photo document.
