Frequently Asked Questions

When does online accreditation sale begin?
Accreditation sale will start in July 2025. Applications are processed in order of submission. INDUSTRY, MEDIA, OBSERVER, and BASIC INDUSTRY accreditations will be available for sale.
Can I buy accreditation during the Festival?
It is not possible to buy accreditation during the Festival. Only single screening tickets and/or passes will be available (while supplies last).
How much does accreditation cost?
The following accreditation types are available:
INDUSTRY ACCREDITATION – for representatives of the film industry, such as producers, distributors, representatives of film institutions, organisers of film events, and others professionally affiliated with the Polish and international film market
STUDENT INDUSTRY ACCREDITATION – for film school students at a promotional price with a valid student ID
BASIC INDUSTRY ACCREDITATION – for representatives of the film industry, such as producers, distributors, representatives of film institutions, organisers of film events, and others professionally affiliated with the Polish and international film market
MEDIA ACCREDITATION – for members of the media (radio, press, TV, internet) and photojournalists
OBSERVER ACCREDITATION – for individuals not professionally affiliated with the film or media industry

The cost of INDUSTRY, MEDIA, OBSERVER accreditation is PLN 600. STUDENT INDUSTRY is PLN 300. BASIC INDUSTRY costs PLN 150.
What does the accreditation entitle me to?
MEDIA, INDUSTRY, OBSERVER accreditations allow participation in film screenings held at the Musical Theatre in Gdynia (Large, New, Chamber stages), Helios cinema in Riviera Centre, and the Gdynia Film Centre – online seat reservations required.

BASIC INDUSTRY BASIC INDUSTRY accreditation allows entry to all festival venues: the Musical Theatre in Gdynia, Helios cinema in Riviera Centre, and the Gdynia Film Centre (without the right to reserve or occupy seats in screening rooms), participation in Gdynia Industry and meetings with the creators, and other accompanying events, excluding closed events requiring invitations.

MEDIA, INDUSTRY, OBSERVER accreditations come with 34 points (1 point = 1 screening) and allow up to 30 screenings held in the Musical Theatre in Gdynia (Large, New and Chamber stages), Helios cinema in Riviera Centre, and the Gdynia Film Centre.

Please bear in mind that every unused reservation result in a 4-point deduction. Multiple no-shows may leave you without enough points to see all planned screenings. Reservations can be cancelled up to 15 minutes before the screening.

MEDIA, INDUSTRY, OBSERVER accreditations allow access to accompanying events, excluding those for which separate invitations are required.

Only MEDIA accreditations allow entry to press screenings and conferences.

Guests with MEDIA, INDUSTRY, OBSERVER accreditations receive a welcome package with a catalogue and promotional materials from the Organiser..
When can I book screenings?
Seats can be booked from 8:00 a.m. the day before the screening until the screening starts. For the first day of the Festival, reservations start Monday, 22nd September 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
What if I want to attend a different film than originally planned?
In this case, you must cancel your current reservation and make a new one. This can be done no later than 15 minutes before the screening. After that, changes are not possible. If the reservation is not cancelled and you don’t show up, 4 points will be deducted from your account.
Where can I cancel a reservation?
Reservations can be cancelled via the Website using any device with internet access. At the Festival, cancellation stations with internet access will be available at all venues (Musical Theatre, Helios cinema in Riviera Centre, the Gdynia Film Centre) and at the Mercure Gdynia Centre Hotel.
Can accreditation be transferred to someone else?
Only the person whose name is on the accreditation can use it. Transferring it to someone else will result in result in a 10-point deduction. Repeated offenses may lead to accreditation being revoked.
How do I upload a photo for accreditation?
When ordering accreditation (after registering at www.system.festiwalgdynia.pl), after entering your data, you'll see a “Upload photo” button. The photo is uploaded like an email attachment. Only previously saved photos from your device can be added.
What are the photo requirements?
The photo should be a current portrait no larger than 2 MB and at least 400x400 pixels in .png, .gif, or .jpg format. It will be used to identify the accreditation holder. Lack of a photo or an unidentifiable photo may invalidate the order.
Where and when can I pick up my accreditation?
Accreditations can be collected at the Festival Reception Desk in the Musical Theatre (New Stage entrance), Plac Grunwaldzki 1, on 21st September 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 22nd–27th September 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., upon presentation of an ID or another document with a photo.
